In this talk (based on work in progress with Alexander Strohmaier) we discuss singularities for solutions of the Klein-Gordon equations with the Dirichlet boundary condition imposed at a timelike boundary on a “globally hyperbolic” spacetime. We will highlight the role of the Mellin transform and of the boundary condition in the analysis of said singularities. If time permits, we shall relate this to quantum field theories.
