In this talk I will report on my progress in computing the transgression forms for characteristic classes. First, I will compute the transgression form of characteristic classes of power sum symmetric polynomials, and finally I will give a formula for the transgression of products of such characteristic classes. Since the power sum symmetric polynomials are generators of the ring of symmetric polynomials, this discussion will exhaust all possible characteristic classes associated with the orthonormal frame bundle.
