Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is the study of the dynamics and magnetic properties of electrically conducting fluids. In this talk, we will give a brief derivation of MHD equations, and also introduce some related mathematical results (reduction to constant magnetic fields, local existence theory, etc).
