I coordinated the mathematics institute colloquium in Potsdam from Oct. 2012 to Feb. 2026 with the help of various members of the institute.
The Colloquium, which took place once a month on Wednesday afternoon, comprised two one hour talks with a tea break in between. The aim was to offer to a mixed audience - whose fields of research can range from statistics to algebraic topology - a pedagogical introduction to a topic leading to the presentation of new results at the end of the talk.
In February 2023 together with Georges Habib (Lebanese University, Beirut) we launched a monthly colloquium
"Mathematics in Lebanon and beyond".
This colloquium served as a precious meeting place for scientific exchange, bringing together mathematicians from the Lebanese diaspora, friends of Lebanon from around the world, and researchers based in Lebanon. It had a short life due to the situation in Lebanon which makes it difficult for researchers in Lebanon to take part in any type of research activity.
2018-2024, I organised a series of yearly meetings devoted to "Micro-local, singular and global analysis and their interactions with geometry and mathematical physics", that had been initiated by Professor Schulze many decades ago.
From 1999 to 2023, together with colleagues based in Bogotà, Colombia, I organised Summer Schools in Villa de Leyva, Colombia on
"Geometric, Algebraic and Topological Methods for Quantum Field Theory"
