Workshop on Superalgebras in String Theory

Mathematisches Institut, Universität Bonn, Germany

24th-27th February, 2002

There has been renewed interest in the theory of superalgebras, motivated by developments in string theory and conformal field theory. The theories which determine the dynamics of branes, for instance, display new types of algebras of superconformal symmetries. Recent developments in physics bear the seeds of potentially interesting mathematics. The aim of this workshop, held under the auspices of the DFG (German Science Foundation) priority programme in String Theory, is to bring together physicists and mathematicians with the aim of promoting dialogue across the interdisciplinary boundary.
