Bachelor of Science in Mathematics

The Institute of Mathematics offers a 3-year Bachelor's Program which provides a wide and varied mathematical foundation and concludes with the degree Bachelor of Science. Students may choose a minor in another discipline such as:

  • Computer Science 
  • Physics
  • Economics
  • Business Administration

Prospective students should possess a substantial interest in Mathematics as well as a willingness to work hard.

Each student will have a faculty mentor who is your contact person for all aspects of your studies and can advise you on developing a study program that fits your interests. Information on the Faculty Mentor Program is here.

Entry into Program

  • The Bachelor's program may be entered only in Winter Semester.
  • The standard period of study is 6 semesters.
  • The language of instruction is German.
  • The program requirements are set in the study regulations for Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and in the general regulations (in German).
